Q: Who does the testing and checks the results?

A: Al Shams is staffed with experienced Professors, Specialists and well trained technologists to cover all fields of laboratory medicine. They use FDA or CE  certified autoanalysers and reagents to run the tests and advanced IT with Autovalidationsoftware to ensure test result reliability.

Q: Do you have all the tests l am looking for?

A: We offer an extensive menu of 2000 routine and specialised tests that help predict, diagnose and monitor diseases, in addition we cooperate with international laboratories abroad to offer lab service for unconventional and  rare test. Please call our hotline 19445 for details.

Q: Can patient samples be misplaced?

A: The new advanced Bar coding of samples, Bidirectional interfacing of equipment & autovalidation of results which has been fully implemented in Al Shams labs leave no room for human error when placing patient samples in equipment or clerical errors when printing results.

Q: Is there a Lab near me?

A: Al Shams is the fastest growing chain of laboratories in the country, with a network of branches that extends all over Cairo, Giza , Alexandria and Assuit. By 2014 our network will cover the Delta area.

Q: What are the Laboratory operating hours?

A: Al Shams branches operate 6 days a week from 8am-12pm on weekdays. Please check with our hotline 19445 for seasonal variations and the reduced hours on Fridays.

Q: Can the lab collect samples from my home or office?

A: We offer a house call service by appointment, please call our hotline 19445 to reserve and we will send one of our well trained employees to take your sample.

Q: Are there any precautions or instructions that must be folowed before testing?

A: For accuracy of results you must carefully follow all the precautions and instructions related to each test. The most frequent test precautions are available on our website www.alshamslabs.com

Q: Are my laboratory test results confidential?

A: Yes all results are confidential. It is our policy to hand over patient results only to those who submit the related receipt as a document of ownership. If you choose to collect your results online then you will be given a a specific random computer generated number to access your data.

Q: How fast can l get my test results?

A: Most of the test results are available on the same day routinely either as a hard copy or online www.alshamslabs.com.
